Hot Interview: Nigerians Has Been Economically Backwards For 40years – Hon Chukwudi Apugo

Nigerian has been dragged forty-years backwards economically with high cost of living and poverty being the indexes.

Hon. Chukwudi Apugo representing umuahia East state constituency made these remarks today in Umuahia during a chat with Mabsnews.com

Sharing his views on Democratic system of governance and it’s dividends, Hon.Apugo said that the present federal government has demonstrated lethargy and incompetence in handling the economy and the Masses were hopeless, helpless and hapless.

The Hon. Member further pointed out that he does not blame the President of the country as a person but his age which has incapacitated the vibrancy required in the quest for economic recovery, adding that a young vibrant leader is required to take Nigeria to the next level.

More so, Hon. Apugo called for financial autonomy for the state legislative assembly which will serve as the oxygen needed to check executive exercise and rascality at the state level.

The Honourable member frowned at the level of killings going on in the country especially the Christians being the Major casualties and called on the federal government to mandate the relevant security agencies to contain, control and stop the massacre adding that every eligible Nigeria should get a PVC for electing a good leader.
