Emeka Ikwuagwu Foundation presents 600 School sandals to Abia State students during it’s “Operation No Ten Toes” program in Umuahia, Abia State.
Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu who was a special guest of honour of the occasion was ably represented by his Deputy, Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu and the Occasion was chaired the former military Governor of Cross River State, Navy Capt. Christopher Osondu.
During the Operation No Ten Toes Ceremony organised by Emeka Ikwuagwu Foundation in conjunction with the Vicar Hope Foundation, a made in Aba Promotion Project 600 Cortina School Sandals was given to 600 Indigent Pupils Across the 17 LGAs of Abia State sponsored by Ikwuagwu Emeka George, a house of representative aspirant under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) held at the Michael Okpara Auditorium, Umuahia, Abia State on the 15th of June , 2018.
The honourable member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Hon. Uko Nkole among other notable Abians were awarded to appreciate their immense contributions to the development of Abia State.
Speaking during the occasion, the founder of the Foundation, Chief Emeka Ikwuagu said the Operation No Ten Toes is targeted directly to support the Governor’s intense campaign for our indigenous patronage and having been impressed with the activities of Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu around the Made-In-Aba revolutionary campaign, he had no choice than to cue into his vision by deciding , with the support of his dear wife, to be a partaker in this wonderful idea.
Also speaking, Emeka Ikwuagu said he has just started by providing school sandals to 6000 pupils who go to school bare footed everyday and in addition to support the wife of the Governor, Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu who is touching lives through her Vicar Hope Foundation.
Furthermore, he stated that it is also in support of Her Excellency’s interest in skill acquisition that his Foundation has selected 20 youths from the 17 LGAs of Abia State to be trained in shoe making skills.
And to the awardees, he said it is the only way of thanking them all for touching lives in their own ways over the years.
