Meet Anastasia Uzodimma, A Professional Female Cobbler Based In Port Harcourt

Meet Anastasia Uzodimma, the only child of Mr and Mrs James Uzodimma from Mbaitoli in IMO State, Nigeria. Anastasia Uzodimma is a female cobbler, based in Port Harcourt and has been making a living from shoe making business.

Anastasia Uzodimma has always dreamt of becoming an independent woman right from when she was a kid and loves learning new things.

Anastasia Uzodimma ventured into the act of Shoe Making some years back and faced many challenges as an entrepreneur especially being into a business where many perceived as men’s business.

Her friends make caricature of her when she newly started but she was focused and determined to make it through her newly found skills. Before Anastasia Uzodimma became a cobbler, she was always buying shoes, scandals, slippers from friends and re-sell to people in other to make some profits but things turned round and she started making her shoes for the purposes of selling to customers.

Anastasia Uzodimma told profjaysblog and his team some of her challenges and here’s how she put it.

“You can’t do this job because its a man’s job and not for a woman like you, and besides it’s too stressful and it will affect you as a young lady but I did not listen to them. I had to follow my mind because I knew where I was going with my business and I was determined to make it as a cobbler, says Anastasia”

“Other challenges I face as a female cobbler is that, some clients don’t pay for my services after making shoes for them, and they keep giving me an unfulfilled hope and also the fact that I don’t have time for myself as a lady due to the nature of my job”

Today, the stories are no longer the same as I have learnt over the years on how to manage my time and also improve on my business. Friends who deserted me then have all come to join me in the business because of the level of success I have achieved over the years.

Anastasia Uzodimma now export her footwears to Germany,
Italy, Ghana and some other African countries.

“My advice to young ladies out there is that being an independent lady/woman is the best thing one can be in life”

“Give yourself first before any other person can give you and you will see yourself being happy in life”

Anastasia Uzodimma is also calling on government and well meaning Nigerians to help invest in her business so as to acquire more equipments for easy operations.

I’m also using this opportunity to thank profjaysblog and his team for having me on their platform.
