Osisioma Explosion: Alex Otti Mourns With Victim’s Families

The attention of the 2019 Abia APGA governorship candidate, Dr. Alex Otti OFR has been drawn to the news of the tragedy arising from the pipeline explosion which devasted Umuimo and Umuaduru communities of Osisioma LGA and led to the death of several persons.

Otti is heavily pained that precious lives of Abians were lost in that tragedy, and appeals to the relevant government agencies to ensure that the scope of the tragedy is not widened, by cordoning off the site, and also ensuring that those who sustained various degrees of injury are given urgent medical attention.

Dr. Otti wishes to use this medium to commiserate with the people of the affected communities, and promises to quickly get in touch with family members of the deceased so as to offer the necessary assistance, especially, for the treatment of injured persons.

The foremost banker is also appealing to well to do Abians to as a matter of urgent importance show empathy and solidarity by offering any kind of support that could help save the lives of the injured.

Dr. Otti is also appealing to the government and NNPC to form a strong partnership that could help protect the pipelines very effectively, and prevent any kind of accidental or manmade leakages capable of causing future occurrence.

Finally, Otti strongly appeals to Abians, especially those living close to NNPC pipelines to desist from getting involved in all kinds of oil bunkering, as it does not only amount to economic sabotage, but leads to destruction of lives and property on a large scale whenever explosion occurs.
