[Photos]NDDC Praised For Its Efforts In Empowering Akwa Ibom Rural Women

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has continued to receive accolades for its strides in achieving its mandate to facilitate the rapid, even and sustainable development of the region.

 

The latest accolade is coming from its collaboration with the Foundation for Female Entrepreneurs to organise a One Day Workshop/Seminar on Entreprneurial/Economic Development For Rural Women In Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.

 

The program which was held in Uyo the state Capital on Monday 29th October, 2018 to enlighten the women in the State on the need to become self-reliant as entrepreneurs and contribute meaningfully to the economic growth of their families and the society through Small and Medium Enterprises.

 

The Program Coordinator, Mr Patrick Usen, tasked the women to judiciuosly use the Funds and the knowledge gained from the program to establish and expand their entrepreneurial skills and become women of valuable inputs to the society and the nation.

 

He further thanked the Managing Director of NDDC, Dr. Obong Nsima Ekere for sponsoring the programme and helping to build the capacity of the women, as an empowerment of the Akwa Ibom Woman is an Empowerment of the Society at large.

 

Uwem Sunday James , an Entertainment Entrepreneur & a youth advocate in the state, lauded the orgernisers for the initiative and called on all well meaning Akwa Ibomites to take a que and join hands in ensuring the economic prosperity of the State through initiatives as this.
