JUST IN: Don Norman Obinna Declared Wanted By Abia State Police Command

Don Norman Obinna has been declared wanted by Abia State Police Command for Cyber Stalking, Sedition and Posting of False Information.

For a while now, Don Norman Obinna has been making revealing publication on the social media concerning financial dealings in the past and present leadership of Abia State government. In those publications, he alleged financial misappropriations of billions of naira and this may not have gone down well with Abia State government warranting the security action.

But in reply, Don Norman Obinna has maintained that he can not be intimidated.

SAY NO TO AUTHORITARIANISM IN ABIA STATE.
I woke up to the news that I have been declared wanted by the Abia State police command for the offense of “Cyber stalking, sedition and posting of false information” against Abia State government. In their description of me, they said that i am 48-yrs and was a journalist. For the records, I am not 48-yrs. I am also a practicing journalist with constitutional backing to monitor government and public office holders and make them accountable to the society. I want to reiterate that no amount of intimidation will stop me from holding Abia State government and any other government accountable to the society. This is coming months after the Abia State police command illegally abducted my under age children and detained them in my place for more than 24-hours. Why the desperation? If i had defamed anyone or government, the best way to go about it is to seek redress in the court of law. It’s sad that up till now, Nigerian police force are yet to learn from the past. I will willingly surrender myself to the Abia State command since I am a law abiding citizen. Thanks Ndi Abia for the solidarity. Together we will end bad leadership in Abia State.
