Mr Chukwudi Uguru, the founder of UC Foundation hosts the third edition of UC Foundation Football Competition in Agbo-Eluama, Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State.
The football competition which started on the 27th of December 2018 and ended on the 2nd of January, 2019 saw the Agbai Community emerging as the Winner and Umuezeoka coming second in the game. The competition was Watched by a mammoth crowd from all the nooks and crannies of Agbo-Eluama.
Speaking to Newsmen after the competition through the National Coordinator, Mr Juachi Ochu, the sponsor of the league, Mr Chukwudi Uguru, who also doubles as the Chairman of Isuikwuato Community in Qatar stated that “the motive behind establishing the UC Foundation Football Competition was first to unite the various communities in Agbo-Eluama and to make them speak with one voice.
Mr Chukwudi Uguru also lauded the Sterling administrative qualities of the Local Organizing Committee during and after the just concluded football game. Football has not only become a form of recreation but also a unifying force in the society today.
Handing over the cup and the cash prize to the winner, the LOC on behalf of the Founder announced that the 2019 edition will be improved on to motivate the contenders to put in more efforts.
