It was moments of joy, dancing and jubilation for the people of Obingwa LGA especially the rural populace when the member representing the Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbor federal constituency Hon. Solomon Adaelu rolled in his all year round road maintenance equipment to take care of rural roads in Obingwa.
In a grand event that took place on Friday the 18th of January 2019, the third phase of the All Year Round Rural Road Grading Project was flagged off in Obingwa, the event which also doubled as PDP Ward 9 campaign flagoff saw the people troop out in large numbers to give their unflinching support to Hon. Solomon Adaelu and all the PDP flag bearers for the 2019 general elections.
The flag off of the event was performed by Chief Eric Achor Nwankanma, the former Deputy Governor of Abia State who represented Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, PhD.
The rural dwellers, the farmers and the entire Obingwa local government were full of joy and appreciation for Hon. Adaelu for the rural road grading program which they described as people oriented project, they said the program had opened up access to their farming communities who had been facing difficulty accessing their farms, they stated that the project will not only open up access to rural communities but will increase farm yield and improve agricultural activities within the LGA, they thanked Hon. Adaelu for the initiative promising to give him their 100% support and vote in the coming elections.
Hon. Adaelu thanked the people for their support and encouragement and made it clear that the program is not for political gains but in fulfillment of his promises to the people when he assumed office as their representative, he promised to double his efforts if re-elected for the second, he also thanked the Governor Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu and His Excellency Chief Acho Nwankanma for their massive support.
