If Eze Chikamnayo Is Sincere – Destiny Nwogu

For some weeks now, Eze Chikamnayo has never ceased from dishing out some media concoctions against the government of Abia State and more particularly, the person of the Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, who he claims is his personal friend and the family of Senator T. A Orji, whose government revived and rehabilitated him from hunger and abject poverty as well as reintroduced him to politics after he had ran away from Abia State; having reportedly looted millions of naira made for Ugwu Abia Festival in year 2000 as Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism and was declared wanted by the State government and Nigeria Police.

This time around, his anger and reason for the senseless attacks are anchored on the fact that he is hungry and seeks appointment from the Governor or the Speaker’s family because it is obvious he can no longer meet up with his profligate and ostentatious lifestyle.

Another issue is his incurable sense of entitlement. He feels that the Governor has failed to train his daughter, who won the One Day Teanage Governor initiated by Dr. Ikpeazu, forgetting that the money the Governor gave to his daughter for the feat was squandered by him (Chikamnayo), making the daughter stranded and out of school.

If Chikamnayo is sincere, he should tell the real story of how he was helped and revitalized by these men he is castigating today. He should also accept the fact that he was the one that wickedly and mindlessly squandered the money made available to him for his daughter’s schooling.

Chikamnayo’s mindless media rants on the government of Abia State which he repeatedly served from 1999 till only shortly before the recent general elections which brought him to prominence, an opportunity which he abused by allegedly looting his respective offices dry.

With his empty noise all over the social media, Chikamnayo has sent himself to political relegation for being unstable and becoming a political harlot, arguably the most defected politician in the history of Nigeria.

For those who might not know, prior to now, Eze Chikamnayo has worked under the three Governors that have led the State since the inception of this dispensation: from 1999 to date. The chameleon called Chikamnayo has never come up with any article against the State unless he wants an appointment. Each time he wants an appointment, he would begin to unleash puerility upon puerility as stories against the government with the intention of attracting the attention of government officials. His major interest has always been for the government to invite him over and offer him a place in their administration, an opportunity he usually uses to syphon the government and milk it dry.

This time around, he would not succeed! If Chikamnayo is sincere, he should tell the stories of how he allegedly stole Abia money in the name of publicity at various national televisions as the then Commissioner for Information. If Chikamnayo is sincere , he should confess how he was said to have collected millions of naira from Ochendo’s government and claimed they were for live programmes and settling of media people.

If Chikamnayo is sincere, let him explain to Abians how he reportedly embezzled the Ugwu Abia funds and bring the money back to the State he claims he loves so much. If Chikamnayo is sincere why is he busy running helter skelter, from pillar to post and aimlessly. Abians should disregard the Chikamnayo’s ranting. He is not sincere! He is looking for an appointment which he will not get. The ones he got in the past, he messed up with them. If he is sincere, let him stop disturbing people on the social media and go to the appropriate quarters

It is important to urge Abians not to be deceived by Chikamnayo’s tales, he lacks any moral right to say anything about Abia. Governments all over the world have the way they are run. If a citizen demands to know what government does, say in property management, award of contracts etc, the citizen concerned should go to appropriate quarters and ask questions. Government would always explain why and how certain things or decisions were done or taken. The essence of separation of powers in democracy is to give room for proper checks and balances. On this note, one may bring his complain to his representatives at the State House of Assembly or if not satisfied, approach the law court. The Abia State government, under the leadership of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu would continue to live up to expectations of Abians The legislative house, headed by an amiable young man, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji, would ensure sound legislations are made to achieve the Abia of our collective dream. God bless Abia!
