Group Demands Justice For Late Chima, Asks Police To Release Others

Coalition of Civil Society Organizations and Concerned Residents of Rivers State demands Justice for the late Mechanic man, Chima who was alleged to have been gruesomely killed by the E-Crack team, a department of the Nigeria Police in Rivers State, profjaysblog reports.

The late Chima and four others were arrested by the E-crack team on the 19th of December, 2019 for allegedly stealing of cars and were later charged to court for robbery and cultism, profjaysblog learnt.

Recall that the late Chima, a mechanic at Ikoku area in Port Harcourt died in Police detention sometimes in December 2019 and the public went on protest sometimes in January 2020 demanding for justice and also the Release of the remaining boys whom were detained along side with the late Chima by E-Crack team, in Mile 1, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

According to reports, it was learnt that the boys and the late Chima were seriously tortured which led to the death of one of them called Chima but on a contrary, a team of journalist along side with a security activist, Ambassador Bonsinde Arikpe went to the Mile 1 Police Station on the 25th of January 2020 to collaborate the story in the public domain but discovered the other four boys whom had already confessed to the alleged crime were without bruises not have any signs of torture on their body.

Today has been set aside to demand Justice for the late Chima and also advocate for the release of the remaining four boys arrested with the late Chima.
