Just In: Rivers State Government Stops Vehicle into The State

Rivers State Government has banned vehicles from other states from entering into the state over coronavirus (COVID-19), profjaysblog reports.

Passengers were reportedly asked to drop from their various vehicles, and asked the drivers to turn back, a measure which took everyone unaware..

Vehicles coming from Abia State for example were stopped at Imo-Gate and passengers were asked to drop while drivers were asked to drive back empty. Passengers coming into Etche from Imo State and Abia State were also stopped too.

Hundreds of passengers are currently stranded due to this unannounced decisions of the Government and have no hope of connecting to their family members.

Passengers were seen trekking after being dropped indiscriminately by Rivers State Taskforce.

The state government ought to have informed her citizens at least 24 hours to this and not taking people unawares.
