117 New Cases of COVID-19 Confirmed In Nigeria

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) have confirmed 117 new cases of coronavirus (covid-19) in Nigeria at about 11:25pm on the 21st of April, 2020.

This new cases was communicated via the official and verified Twitter account of the commission.

Lagos State is still leading and still remains the epicenter of the covid-19 virus, followed by Abuja, then, Kano.

Recall that Kano recorded her first case of coronavirus some weeks ago and has overtaken many states as the number of cases in Kano keeps rising like a speed of light. If care is not taken, Kano may over run Abuja and Lagos in the coming weeks.

The Kano State government may need to intensify efforts in making their borders are faithfully closed and any security personnel found wanting should face the music irrespective of who’s involved in order to limit, fight and curtail this covid-19 pandemic.

Kano is said to be the most populated state in the country according to the last census, and it habors more of average citizens who feed from their daily income. There must be an adequate measures by the state government in fighting this pandemic.

Below is the number of new cases in each state as at 21st April, 2020.

59 in Lagos
29 in FCT
14 in Kano
6 in Borno
4 in Katsina
3 in Ogun
1 in Rivers
1 in Bauchi

The total number of discharged persons has been put to be 197 while the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria is a little close to 1000.
