Abia New Commissioner of Police Resumes Duty

The new abia State Commissioner of Police, Janeth Agbede has resumed duty and has taken over responsibilities. This was made known by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mr Godwin Akoh JP in press men today, profjaysblog reports.

Below is the press release:

The Abia State Police Command wish to inform the general public that a new Commissioner of Police has been deployed to Abia State.

CP Janet Agbede, has assumed duties and taken over the responsibilities of the command as the 31st Commissioner of Police and the 1st Female Commissioner of Police in Abia State Police Command.

She succeeds CP E. Ene Okon fdc, who has been redeployed to Force headquarters, Abuja.

The new Commissioner of Police Abia State Police Command was appointed into the Force as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police in 1988. She has served in various capacities in the Nigeria Police Force.

She is an alumnus of University of Ibadan and has attended various professional courses both home and abroad. Prior to her deployment to the Command, she was the Commissioner of Police in-charge welfare Department, Force Headquarters Abuja.

CP Janet Agbede is married with children.
