The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 220 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Nigeria, profjaysblog reports.
The new cases was reported late night of 2nd May, 2020 by the commission with about 17 deaths records and no new state has reported a case in the last 24hours.
According to the commission, the total number of covid-19 cases reported in Nigeria is now 2,388, with 385 number of discharged persons and 85 deaths recorded in 34 states and Federal Capital Territory.
Below is how the 220 new cases of covid-19 were made up from 19 states that recorded covid-19 cases.
Lagos took the lead of new cases, followed by FCT while Nasarawa, Osun, Ebonyi, Kwara, Kano and Plateau states recorded the least cases.
Kano State saw a very sharp declined results in the number of new cases reported for the first time since the state recorded its first two index cases.
The 220 new cases are reported from 19 states- Lagos(62), FCT(52), Kaduna(31), Sokoto(13), Kebbi(10), Yobe (9), Borno(6), Edo(5), Bauchi(5), Gombe(4), Enugu(4), Oyo(4), Zamfara(3), Nasarawa(2), Osun(2), Ebonyi(2), Kwara(2), Kano(2), Plateau(2)
