Rivers State Records 36 New Cases of COVID-19

Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 36 new cases of covid-19 in Rivers State, profjaysblog reports.

The 36 new cases was announced alongside other states by the commission late night, some hours after the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike announced the relaxation of the total lockdown initially proposed to commence today (Wednesday), 27th May, 2020.

Recall that, profjaysblog had earlier reported that Rivers State has now become the epicenter of covid-19 in South South and South East region of Nigeria with close to 200 cases of the virus.

The commission had announced 276 new cases of covid-19 in Nigeria late last night, and out of which Rivers State recorded 36 cases with Lagos State topping the list with 161 new cases.

15 states recorded new cases of covid-19 as announced by Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) on their official and verified Twitter handle.
