Comrade Alex Ovie Idu is a progressive young man who hails from Orogun town in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State. He’s a former Ughelli North Constituency 1 Delta State House of Assembly Aspirant under the platform of People’s Democratic Party PDP who stood tall height in the contest. Presently, he’s a Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State, Sen. (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa on youth development.
He’s a well educated, experienced and responsive political youth leader. He has shown great leadership capacity and classic personality.
He’s a well thoughtful, resourceful, dedicated and vibrant youth leader who has proven unequivocal and unique characters in leadership responsibilities.
As the National President of Urhobo National Youth Movement worldwide, he has demonstrated unprecedented capacities where he led Urhobo youths to engaged Niger Delta IOCs such as Heritage Oil, Seplatz, Chevron oil etc to work with host communities social responsibility and community social services which has paid off hugely over times where most of Urhobo youths have benefited and some still benefiting.
Subsequently, he was the pioneer HOSTCOM youth leader of Delta State who led for the first time, all ethnic nationalities youths of Hostcom to paid a courtesy visit to the Governor, His Excellency, Sen. (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa in which the Governor gave appointments to Delta HostCom ethnic nationalities youth leaders across the state.
Also, he’s the immediate past Chairman of Delta State Nollywood Actor’s Guild of Nigeria, where he led the association for six years (two terms) to a more viable, well recognized and respected across boards.
Today, many Delta Nollywood actors have been engaged in more genuine businesses, some are being appointed into political positions and others doing well in Image right promotions/acting. This is because, Comrade Alex Idu leadership prowess is unique, classic and undoubted.
As he takes more responsibilities and actions; His leadership capacity can not be over emphasized as he also displayed a heroic struggle at the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC for the emancipation of good governance and social responsibility for host communities.
Comrade Alex Idu is a social advocate for human right. He’s an uncommon humanitarian, a trailblazer and pace setter.
He has contributed to the growth and development of Ughelli North LGA, especially Orogun town where he has provided many social services and pet projects to the good people of Ughelli North.
He’s calm, friendly, humble, civic, bold, responsive and a great listener.
