Edo PDP Suspends Kashim Afegbua for Anti Party Activities

The Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party in Edo State, Mr Chris Nehikhare, on Sunday announced the suspension of a former spokesperson of the party’s Presidential Campaign Council, Prince Kassim Afegbua, for anti-party activities.

The party in a statement said the suspension, which was from his Ward 5 in the Etsako East Local Government Area of the state, would last for one month with effect from August 2.

The statement reads partly, “This is to inform the members of the Peoples Democratic Party, it’s supporters and the general public that Prince Kassim Afegbua of ward 5, Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State has been suspended for one month with effect from August 2, 2020, by the ward executive after being found guilty of anti-party activities.

“The state Chairman, Tony Aziegbemi, has directed the local government chairman to set up a disciplinary committee to investigate the allegations of anti-party activities levied against him.”
