The Governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi paid a very quick visit to the scene of the reported clash between the Security Agencies and members of the proscribed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) today sunday 23rd august, 2020, profjaysblog reports.
The clash was reported on social media by several persons and onlookers, this attracted the attention of the Governor which prompted his quick response to rush down to the scene of the incident some hours after it was reported.
It was believed that some persons lost their lives to the clash but the actual figure of death rate can’t be ascertain as at the time of this report.
Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi was assured by residents of the area and the security agencies that normalcy has returned, and that the place is calm.
