774,000 Jobs: FG Engage Six Banks to Start Opening of Bank Accounts for Participants

The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr Festus Keyamo SAN said he has engaged the services of Six banks to start opening of bank accounts for the participants of the Special Public Work Programme, profjaysblog reports.

Mr Festus Keyamo made this known through his official and verified twitter account yesterday 28th September, 2020 and monitored by profjaysblog.

In his tweet, he said “Yesterday, I gave out letters of engagement to six banks, namely Zenith, UBA, Access, Fidelity, FCMB & Heritage to begin the opening of accounts (with BVN) for the 774,000 participants of the Special Public Works Programme in their branches in the 774 LGAs across the country”

The Special Public Work Programme is expected to start up sometimes in October and this is expected to engaged about 774,000 Nigerians across the 774 Local Government Areas of the federation.
