President Muhammadu Buhari has hosted the Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr Dave Umahi in Aso Rock days after dumping Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for All Progressive Congress (APC), profjaysblog reports.
Governor Dave Umahi who recently defected to All Progressive Congress (APC) some days ago was in aso rock to meet with President Buhari. The Gov was accompanied by some other APC prominent party members.
Recall that Gov Dave Umahi denied ever having any plans of dumping Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for All Progressive Congress (APC) some weeks and months ago when he as asked by some journalists.
Gov Dave Umahi has been quoted that one of his reasons of dumping PDP was because the party has been unfair to the people of South-East for years. Though, in some quarters, it was alleged the Gov left PDP because of his interest in becoming the President of Nigeria in 2023 under APC.
While some praised him for his bold steps, some were asking if APC will be bold also to zone the Presidential ticket of the party to south-east come 2023.
