A group known as Concern Group of Abia State has asked the Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu to forgive and recall back his suspended Chief of Staff, Dr A.C.B Agbazuere to his position.
The group also pointed out some of the outstanding achievements of the suspended Chief of Staff and why some persons and oppositions in the State wants him out.
Read the group statement below:
As ASPIMSS DG he was a pride of this government.
He was in charge of one of the few parastatal of Abia state government that was up to date on salary payment.
As COS he managed the business of government with such dexterity with which he resuscitated ASPIMSS.
He blocked leaking financial holes.
ACB Agbazuere gave this Government the reputation of “youth-loving” administration reasons why Abia can be proud of it’s record on youth inclusion in governance.
Why should we forget all the administrative prowess of this man and only dwell and crucify him on a matter that didn’t reduce his capacity to discharge his duties creditably.
We ought to be misers in our reprobation but lavish in our praise when dealing with people we actually love. ACB doesn’t deserve this so much hate. Politics is a thorny terrain but our humane heart should not be sacrificed on its alter.
If ACB Agbazuere is not an asset to this government, the Abia opposition will not be in the forefront of demanding for his sack. We all know that they do not mean well for the state.
Please our dear Governor, forgive Dr. Agbazuere and bring him back. Do not play into the script of those who are after his office and the political opposition. These same people will turn around to come after every government official who has ever sprayed money on people. When we look back in retrospect, who is actually safe from the “crime” of money spraying indulgence?
He is a good man. We all make mistakes.
To err is human; to forgive is divine
Chinonso Agbaeze
Concerned youth of Abia state.
