The House of Representatives has told the NCC (@NgComCommission) to extend the two-week deadline for the implementation of the new SIM card /NIN registration rules till February 28, 2021, profjaysblog reports.
Recall that the Nigeria Communication Commission had directed all Telecommunications in the country to disconnect any subscriber who refused to link up his/her sim to the NIN on or before 31st December, 2020.
Nigerians took to social media to register their displeasure over the two weeks deadline given by NCC especially during this celebration period.
24 hours after the directives was given, the House of Representatives waded in to ask the NCC to extend the deadline given to all subscribers and telecommunications till February 28th 2021.
