The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) had on the 26th of January, 2021 arrested a Port Harcourt based musician by name Charles Mba also known as Bukwild at his Port Harcourt resident where he resides with his family at about 5:20am.

It was widely reported by the Port Harcourt zone of the commission how it had arrested about 8 suspected internet fraudsters “Yahoo Yahoo” boys around Rumuokoro and Ozuoba axis of Port Harcourt on their official and verified twitter handle.

Findings by profjaysblog showed that the men of the EFCC had gone into the estate where the musician (Bukwild) stays with his wife and daughter whom was said to be about 6months old in search of a suspected Yahoo boy by name Kingsley. Kingsley was suspected to had escaped through the fence on sighting the men of the EFCC in his estate and that gave way for them to enter into what is known as Mass Arrest.

Our insider further told us that every flats in the estate was raided and everybody arrested alongside their gadgets like phones, laptops, etc

The officials of the EFCC told them to only follow them to their station and they would be released after they had taken their statements and possibly go through their accessories, and as a law abiding citizens, they all followed them to the station and within few hours, the story had changed from what it was to what its on the news.

They searched through their gadgets and found nothing indiscriminately and instead of the men of the EFCC to release the innocent youths, they hurriedly paraded them as suspected internet fraudsters, an act that’s capable of sending one into a quick depression.

The question many keep asking is, why would men of the EFCC always rush to the media to condemn, parade and tag people whom the court of law has not found guilty?

It took the effort of a highly ranked officer who knows the job and how to be professional to get into the case and discovered that he (Bukwild) and the 7 others were wrongfully arrested and intimidated by the men of the EFCC, profjaysblog gathered.

The unlawful and unprofessional arrest of Bukwild by the men of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) is a total infringement of his fundamental human rights and he and any other who was wrongfully arrested should be properly compensated and an apology should be made in that regards using their official and verified twitter handle and also should be published on two national dailies.

Bukwild is known to be a very simple, gentle and easy going entertainer who has always preached against illegal means of acquiring wealth.

This has greatly affected his mental state of mind and has created a vacuum between him and his fans, business associates and family members has hold him to high esteem.

We also gathered that he would have been released yesterday but due to one or two delays in perfecting his bail bound, he could not be released that same yesterday (27th January).
