Former Abia State Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Emma Nwaka has said it is premature for anyone to declare to run for a non-vacant office in Abia State, profjaysblog gathered.
Few days ago, story of Sen Emma Nwaka declaring for 2023 Abia State Governorship election went viral on social media and on various major blogs in the country.
The former Senator who was quoted out of context while having a friendly stakeholders discussion at his country home in Isuikwuato few days ago made a comment and some people decided to hand twist his statement as declaring for a position that is not yet vacant.
In a telephone chat with profjaysblog, the Senator hinted that he is well pleased with Dr Okezie Ikpeazu and the Governor still has over two years to go.
In his words; “I wish to state as a thorough bred foundation member of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), that, I consider it premature for anyone to declare to run for a non-vacant office”
The Senator further stated that the responsibility of all Abians including his humble self is to support the Governor in every way possible to ensure that he ends his full two terms in a blaze of glory to the satisfaction of the electorates.
There’s time for everything under the sun and now is the time to give the Governor all the needed support.
