National President of Abia Youth, Comr Chima Joel Okorie Reacts, Says Prof Godswill Obioma Was Strangled to Death

According to a release made available to profjaysblog and signed by the National President of Abia Youth, Comrade Chima Joel Okorie, the Secretary – Comrade Ndubuisi Onwuchekwa and the PRO, Sylvester Obasi, it was alleged that the NECO Registrar, Prof Godswill Obioma was strangled to death in his premises after returning from a state function.

It is with great shock that we the youths of Abia State received the news of the death of our illustrious son Prof.Godswill Obioma.

We have it in good authority that he was strangled in his premises after returning from a state function.

The president, Abia Youth National, Comrade Chima Joel Okorie arising from emergency meeting with his executives demand as a matter urgency the followings:

1. That the killers of our illustrious son must be found within 48hrs.
2. That we see this as reprisal attack from arewa youths following their threat over the death of Ahmed Gulak when the governor of Imo State His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodimma has stated in clear terms that the assisnation of Ahmed Gulak was politically motivated and was without any tribal and ethnic linings.
3. We call on the Federal Government, Niger State Government and NECO Management to leave no stone unturned in ensuring that justice is done.

Recall that yesterday, the National Examination Council (NECO) made an official statement that the Late Prof Godswill Obioma had died of a natural cause after a brief illness.
