The Lagos State House of Assembly has passed the Value Added Tax (VAT) Bill and the bill that prohibits Open grazing.
The bills (VAT and grazing) passed first and second readings at the house on Monday, while the committee on finance was asked to report back by Thursday.
On Wednesday, the committee held public hearing on the bills and by Thursday, the bills were passed at parliament.
Mudashiru Obasa, the speaker, directed the Acting Clerk of the House, Mr. Olalekan Onafeko, to transmit copies of the bills to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The two bills were passed after they were read the third time at the floor of the house and after unanimous votes by the lawmakers at the sitting.
