Police Arrest Evang Ugochi Orisakwe, Four Others Four Using Church Premises As a Baby Factory

A 47-year-old woman, Evangelist Ugochi Orisakwe and four other people have been arrested by the Imo state police for allegedly using church premises as a baby factory.

The suspects Chidi Orisakwe, age 34, Pauline Nwagbunwanne, age 42, Elizabeth Uzoma, age 61, and Chibueze Joy, age 31 who used a popular church for their criminal activities were apprehended on Thursday.

The Commissioner of Police CP in Imo state Rabiu Hussaini confirmed the crime in a release signed by the command’s spokesperson, Micheal Abattam on Thursday after the arrest was made.

The investigators in the command received credible information about a missing 18-year-old girl which led to the discovery of the baby factory and the lead evangelist along with her gang members were taken into custody.

The Commissioner of Police also commended the brilliant efforts of the tactical teams and asked people to be wary of churches located in isolated areas whether popular or not.
