We, the Executives and the entire members of Abia State Town Unions Association, National Youth Wing condole with you and the entire family of Kanu on the demise of your father, husband, grandfather, Rear Admiral Godwin Ndubuisi Kanu (rtd) who passed on, on the 13th January, 2021.

Death as an inevitable end of life, comes with pain no matter how long the person has lived especially when it happens to be a father. Admiral as fondly called by all was a complete gentle man and an intelligent officer who rose to the rank of a rear admiral and also the position of Chief of Naval Operations, Naval Headquarters. A patriotic Nigerian and Igbo man, a father figure, very humble and kindhearted. Hardworking, trustworthy and dedicated. An active supporter of Ndi Abia in Lagos and Ndigbo in general.

Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu’s (rtd) life on earth was a life worthy of emulation. He rendered selfless services to those who knew and those who did not know him so long you seek such from him. His death is indeed a great loss to all of us but as mere mortals, we have no power to question God even as he left this world at a time the Abia State Youths in Lagos needed his fatherly role and advice. Your fond memories will remain evergreen in our hearts Iyaa Admiral.

As we come to terms with the pain of his death, may we urge you to take consolation in the indelible testimonies of his life well spent and achievements, while we pray for a peaceful repose of his soul.

De accept our heartfelt condolence as we pray that God will grant your family, Ndi Ovim, Ndi Isuikwuato, Ndi Abia, Ndi Igbo nile and Nigeria the fortitute to bear this great loss.
