The apex youth wing of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide- Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) has described Barr. COC Akaolisa the attorney general of Imo State as sociopolitical spoil to Distinguished Sen. Hope Uzodimma’s administration.
This is following what the Council described as “a poor media defense”, by Barr. COC Akaolisa, through his Media Aide, Izuchukwu Ositadimma.
According to the Council, the said media defense as published by Watchdog News Papers on 6th December 2021, had its focus on the recent case of Child Trafficking, we rather aimed at maligning the office of the national president of Ohanaeze Youth Council.
Reacting to the defamatory act, the National President of OYC, Comrd. Igboayaka O. Igboayaka while addressing newsmen in Owerri, the state’s capital, today, Tuesday 7 November, expressed dismay over the statement issued by Barr. COC Akaolisa’s Media Aide.
Igboayaka acrimony towards the falsified information as released by COC Akaolisa.
He reprimanded Akaolisa for accusing the Council of being politically motivated by the opposition party, hence her move to subvert Justice as regards the child trafficking case in State high court and magistrate court
It will be recalled that COC Akaolisa had on Tuesday, November 30, held a closed doors meeting with Comrade Igboayaka
Meanwhile, the subject of their meeting held behind closed doors was preceived to be in conjunction with the recent Child Trafficking matter in the state.
Igboayaka said: “It’s on record that Barr. COC Akaolisa after meeting with the National President of Ohanaeze Youth Council Comrade Igboayaka O Igboayaka confessed that Major Ohanyere the Husband of Mrs. Chinyere Ohanyere met him in office to pay him a homage soliciting for his intervention in the case involving his wife on child trafficking case in State high court and Magistrate Court.
“Ohanaeze Youth Council are suspicious of the private visit of Mrs. Chinyere Ohanyere husband to Attorney General was a swift move to him. We expect that Barr. COC Akaolisa should tell the world and His Excellency Sen. Hope Uzodinma why the sudden visit of Mrs. Chinyere Ohanyere husband and what they dicussed. Igboayaka stated.
Speaking further, Igboayaka revealed that, “Barr. Akaolisa admitted that he doesn’t appear in all court proceedings between individual versus state, but quickly appeared in court on 17 and 23 November, 2021 leaving all other responsibilities office just to be in court because Mrs. Chinyere Ohanyere Child trafficking case. He therefore owe the world explanations on purpose of his regular appearance in court, knowing fully well that the case of Child Trafficking is between Mrs. Chinyere Ohanyere and the government.
“Major Ohanyere (Rtd) and Mrs. Chinyere Ohanyere who claimed that the two kids were born by them couldn’t have visited Barr. COC Akaolisa to intervene in the case if truly the kids were birthed by them, instead they could have resorted to subjecting the kids to DNA test to quickly ascertain the paternity of the kids.
“The visit of Mrs Ohanyere’ s husband to Barr. COC Akaolisa remain suspicious and unclear to every reasonable mind, and such romance with the family of Major. Ohanyere who is involved the child trafficking indisputably ‘drags through the mud’ the 3R’s vision of the government of Sen. Hope Uzodimma.
“At this juncture Ohanaeze Youth Council call for DNA test of the children to ascertain their paternity so Justice will be served without any fear or favor”, Igboayaka concluded.
