2023: Sen Emma Nwaka Declares Interest For Abia Governorship

The former Abia State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman, Sen Emma Nwaka has declared his interest to run for the position of Abia State Governor come 2023 on the 3rd of January, 2023, profjaysblog reports.

While addressing the Abia North Excos of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at his residence, the former state chairman said, he’s not the type that’s after money as his record speaks loudly for him.

“I have character, I have integrity and there’s no house of assembly member, house of representatives member and or a senator who can tell you I have sat down with him or her to discuss about how much to be given before he or she can be given a party ticket while I have the party chairman in the state.”

I have a clean records while serving the party as the state chairman and that’s why I can boldly come out today to declare my interest to you all.

Senator Emma Nwaka also addressed members of his immediate ward in Oguduasa in Isuikwuato LGA of Abia State. The ward chairman who spoke for and on behalf of his excos and ward said they are solidly behind his aspirations to head the number one position in the state come 2023.

Immediately after that, he entered into a close door meetings with some party stakeholders to further discuss about his ambition.

“The people of Isuikwuato district have supported others and I think it’s time for them to throw in their weight of support toward our struggle to head the number sit in the state.”

Recall that the people of Isuikwuato District have been agitating that it’s their time to rule the state following the Abia Charter of Equity written their the founding fathers of Abia State. The name A.B.I.A was coined from Afikpo, Bende, Isuikwuato and Aba and it’s a fact that all except (Isuikwuato) have ruled the state, hence, the strong agitation from this quarter. And it is expected that other quarters should throw in their weight to support the aspirations of every Isuikwuato sons and daughters who’s qualified to rule and govern the state and also take the state to the next positive levels.

Some notable amongst those present at the meeting are the former DSS Director, Chief Ray Nkemdirim, former military governor of Cross Rivers State, Navy Captain Christopher Osondu (rtd), Chief Okenmiri, the Executive Chairman of Isuikwuato LGA, Hon Chima Agbaeze etc.
