The Executive Chairman of Isuikwuato LGA, Hon Chima Agbaeze has commissioned a bus stop built by Dr Onyinye Rufus-Obi at Amuta junction on the 3rd January, 2022, Profjaysblog reports.
The bus stop which was built in memory of her late father, Pharmacist Rufus Obi, a renowned philanthropist and one of the founding fathers of Abia State.
During her speech, Chief Dr Onyinye Rufus-Obi stated that the bus stop was built to provide a shade and comfort to people who, while waiting for a vehicle to their different destinations can relax pending till they get a vehicle.
It will also provide a shelter during raining seasons to passengers and stranded persons.
One of the attendees who preferred to remain anonymous described the bus stop as one of the best bus stop in Isuikwuato and Abia State in general.
His Royal Highness, Eze J.E Ogbuneke, Okwu Awa 1 of Umuokogbuo Autonomous Community was also present during the commissioning of the bus stop.
Other dignitaries present during the commissioning of the bus stop are; Chief Ray Nkemdirim, Former DSS Director, Chief Henry Agbaeze, Former Abia State Commissioner for Youths and Sport, Chief Osondu Onyedimara, President General of Isuikwuato Development Union (IDU), Chief Johnnie Ndukuaba, President General, Eluama Development Union (EDU), Mr Francis Udeagu, President General, Umuokogbuo Development Union (UDU), Sir Dave Agwalla, Engr Osinachi Nnabuko, Mr Chikezie Onyegide, Former Eluama Development Union Port Harcourt Branch Chairman, and others.
The highlight of the ceremony was when the bus stop was dedicated to God Almighty and commissioned for public use.
