The former Abia State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman and the Abia State Governorship aspirant, Sen Emma Nwaka has lend his voice on the state zoning formula as released by the ruling party, profjaysblog reports.

Recall that, the state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Asiforo Okere in a press release made available to newsmen sometimes last week had endorsed two senatorial districts for the possible zones to produce the next Governor of the state come 2023.

In a press statement signed by the state chairman of the party, Asiforo Okere said the gubernatorial ticket would be ceded to Abia Central and Abia North respectively.

There have been a lot of reactions and counter reactions as to why PDP would zoned its gubernatorial ticket to two districts of the state, instead of one district as expected.

Sen Emma Nwaka on his own part has reacted as thus; “Make no mistake about it, the controversy surrounding the imprecision of the zoning arrangement just announced by Abia PDP will not see the end of the party we have all in our various ways helped to make the envy of other parties.”

“I strongly believe that the party will soon convene a meeting of the caucus and if possible the Elders Council of the party as provided for in the party constitution to resolve this impasse. And the time to act is now given that political activities are proceeding at a frenetic pace with the release of INEC timetable”.

We must not throw away the golden opportunity to retain the seat of power, he concluded.
