The Akwa Ibom State Governorship hopeful, Dr Ani Wellington has yesterday, submitted his expression of interest form and nomination form at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Secretariat in Abuja, profjaysblog reports.
Profjaysblog gathered that, the governorship hopeful, Dr Ani Wellington was received by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Secretary, Senator Sam Anyawu and the National Women leader, Prof Stella Effah-Atoe shortly after he submitted his forms.
Sen Sam Anyawu, National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), expressed delight at the arrival of a vibrant young man who has done exceptionally well in the oil and gas sector and believes he can replicate that success in Akwa Ibom State if voted into power.
Following Dr. Ani Wellington’s presentation of his vision and mission, he stated that the government is a continuum and that he is ready to sustain the existing infrastructure, invest in innovation, and continue the good work of the incumbent governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, in Akwa Ibom State.
Dr. Ani Wellington was overjoyed and thanked them for believing in his vision for Akwa Ibom and welcoming him and his delegates despite their busy schedules as members of their great party, the PDP’s National Working Committee (NWC).
Recall that, Dr Ani Wellington, the brain behind Falcon Oil & Gas had sometime in January declared his intention to succeed the incumbent Governor, Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State.
The highlight of the outing was when he was prayed for and wished success as Akwa Ibom State’s succeeding governor in 2023.
