Dr Onyinye Rufus-Obi Attracts Administrative, Classroom Blocks to Uporoto Community School, Eluama, Isuikwuato

The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Dr Onyinye Rufus-Obi has attracted some administrative offices and classroom blocks to Uporoto Community Primary School situated at Umuokogbuo-Eluama in Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State, profjaysblog reports.

Recall that, the leadership of Umuokogbuo Development Union had sometimes ago appealed to the state government over the deplorable conditions of the only community school in the community and how it has become dangerous for kids to learn under its present conditions.

In a letter dated 9th of November, 2021, and addressed to the State Minister for Education, Hon Emeka Nwajiuba, by the leadership of Umuokogbuo Development Union, Mr Francis Udeagu had appealed to the ministry of Education to intervene on the nearly collapsed building which has become in conducive for pupils to learn.

The letter as sighted by profjaysblog, reads in parts; “we want to appeal to you, our honorable minister to use your good office and come to our aid. Education is the best legacy we can leave for our children and the environment where they learn has a way of impacting positively or negatively to their physique.”

“We thank you in advance for obliging our request and look forward to having a new Uporoto Community School, Umuokogbuo-Eluama in Isuikwuato.”

The letter was followed up by the APGA candidate, Dr Onyinye Rufus-Obi and had yielded positive results as new blocks of classrooms and administrative building are currently under construction.

According to the contractor handling the construction of the classroom blocks and administrative office, the building is expected to be handed over to the community before the end of the next month.
