Read parts of the release below;
I am Olumati Isaiah. C, the Labour Party Candidate for Rivers State House of Assembly representing PHALGA Constituency 1 in the 2023 elections.
Rivers State has had a non functional House of Assembly through the last 8 years. This has earned the Assembly the name “Rubber Stamp Assembly” seemingly.
For reasons best known to the leading party, playing partisan politics with the lives and livelihood of Rivers people is more important to them.
For me, the 2023 elections gives us a chance to right the wrongs of this present government. By that, I am running against an incumbent Candidate and by extension, the Chief Executive of the State with pockets deeper than ours. Regardless, we will not be deterred, as we cannot make the same mistake twice.
Few days ago, Olumati had on his official Facebook page posited that, he will build Labour Party Rivers State to the height never imagined.
This is coming few days after the party’s Presidential candidate, Peter Obi visited the flood victims in Bayelsa and other flood affected States.
