St Charles Methodist Church, Aba Honours Onyinye Rufus-Obi as Enyi Ukwu Jesus

The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Chief Dr Onyinye Rufus-Obi was honoured by the St Charles Methodist Church of Nigeria, Umungasi Circuit, Diocese of Aba with an award of Enyi Ukwu Jesus on the 4th of December, 2022.

The All Progressive Grand Alliance candidate and frontliner for the House of Representatives, Chief Dr Onyinye Rufus-Obi was on ground to receive the award and also to identify with the Church during her 2022 annu harvest and thanksgiving which took place at the church auditorium, Aba.

Dr Onyinye, after receiving the award thanked the leadership of the Church and the committee for their steadfastness and unity of purpose in the vineyard of the Lord. She also appreciated them for finding her worthy to bestow on her, the Enyi Ukwu Jesus award as her relationship with the Lord keeps soaring higher.

She also used the opportunity to encourage others to keep their faiths in the Lord as He will surely come for them at the right time. She further stated that, no matter what everybody is passing through, they should never fail to keep believing and trusting Him, as He alone has the solution to every problems.

Recall that Pharm. Rufus Obi, the father of Dr. Onyinye Kay Rufus Obi and an Oxford graduate was honored with the title “Enyi Aba” (Friend of Aba) for his selfless contributions towards the growth and development of what is now known as Abia state. The recognition of Dr. Onyinye in Aba stresses further on the knowledge that she will undoubtedly build on the legacies of her late father and bring about socio-cultural cum political developments in her political pursuit.

The highpoint of the event was when the Church leadership earnestly prayed for her and her political journey into the federal house of representatives come 2023.
