The Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate for Abia State – Apostle Dr Ngozika Gladys Johnson-Ogbuneke has expressed huge shock over the death of Abia State PDP Governorship candidate, Prof Uche Eleazar Ikonne, which sad event took place at the early hours of today, 25th January, 2023.
According to her, the sad news of the demise of the accomplished academic juggernaut came to her like a thunderbolt. She wondered why it should be at this time that Abia State needs the holistic synergy of all Abia big wigs in all walks of life, to come together and help to rebuild the state, that we have lost Prof Uche Eleazar Ikonne. But who are we to question the Almighty God, whose ways and thoughts are much higher than the ways of humanity?
She sympathizes with Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, the Government of State, the entire family of Prof Uche Eleazar Ikonne, as well as the entire Abians.
She prays that the Almighty God grant the bereaved family the fortitude and the resilience to absorb such a colossal loss, while the soul of Prof Uche Eleazar Ikonne finds solace in the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ.
