Children’s Day: Dr Ngozika Gladys Johnson-Ogbuneke Congratulates Abia Children

The Abia State Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate in the just concluded elections, and also the founder of The SHOGNA Foundations, Dr Ngozika Johnson-Ogbuneke has congratulated and rejoiced with Abia children on children’s day.

Dr Ngozika who described the children as the future leaders of tomorrow urged the government in power to implement policies that will strive in providing the best of education through quality school teaching aids, social welfare and right environment for children and their parents to thrive.

CHILDREN’S DAY MESSAGE

Today marks another Children Day’s Celebration all over the world. I therefore heartily congratulate and rejoice with all Abia Children and beyond on this memorable day. I equally congratulate and rejoice with parents, guardians, teachers, and caregivers over the advent of this day.

My joy and happiness over this memorable day in the lives of our children is in fact not born out of frivolity, whatsoever; but in keen recognition of the importance of today and what it stands for in the development and welfare of the children.

Today’s celebration is indeed another strong reminder to all of us who cherish the aspiration and future of the children to refresh our commitments towards children’s welfare most especially in the area of health, education and protection against various forms of physical and sexual molestations.

I strongly believe that children are the leaders of today and tomorrow and their importance in our societies cannot be measured. There is, therefore, the strong need to persist in protecting and properly nurturing them; while at the same time recognizing and upholding their rights.

Let us all come together to secure the lives of our future leaders in order to build a great nation of our dreams.

I urge the government in power to implement policies that will strive in providing the best of education through quality school teaching aids, social welfare and right environment for children and their parents to thrive. We are only children once- may the childhood of every child be preserved and cherished.
