Abia State Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Dr Chibueze Ukaegbu was on 25th July, 2023 attacked by some gunmen in Aba, pjtvnews reports.
The attack was carried out on the commissioner around old express road by faulks road close to samek junction in Aba, Abia State.
Dr Chibueze Ukaegbu narrowly escaped death after his official vehicle was attacked and two policemen were killed in the process.
It was said that, the incident took place while the commissioner was returning home after meeting with the leadership of various markets in Aba.
As at the time of filling this report, the bodies of the slain policemen have been allegedly deposited in the mortuary.
All efforts by our correspondent to reach the commissioner on his phone proved abortive as his line was not connecting.
