Amobi Ogah and Cyril Ukabi Okemiri High Chief Cyril Ukabi Okemiri, a community leader from Acha in Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State has congratulated Amobi Ogah over the appeal court judgement, pjtvnews reports.

In a release made available to our correspondent in Isuikwuato, the community leader described the appeal court Judgement as retaining the will of the people through the judicial process.

Recall that, Amobi Ogah was declared winner of the February 2023 election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to represent the good people of Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, a victory that was later challenged by the current State Minister of Labour and Employment, Hon Barr Nkeiruka Onyejeocha.

The election tribunal sitting in Umuahia had asked Ogah to vacate the seat for Onyejeocha but the judgement, decision of the tribunal was challenged at the appeal court. Today, being the 3rd of November, 2023, the appeal court upholds the victory of Amobi, putting to rest the litigations between both of them.

“The people of Isuikwuato/Umunneochi had spoken during the election that was held in February and the court had only interpreted the mind of the people by upholding the victory of Amobi Ogah.”

“Now that the election litigations are over, the house of representatives member will move to work as there won’t be any form of distractions anymore. We believe in the capacity, capability and political will of Amobi and in no time, we shall start seeing the dividends of democracy in Isuikwuato/Umunneochi federal constituency”

Onyejeocha has done her quota in representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal constituency, so, let her concentrate on her ministerial work and allow Amobi to do his work as a legislature.”

Chief Okemiri used the opportunity to call on all political parties and candidates during the last elections to rally round Amobi and give him all necessary support that will make him to succeed, he concluded.
