The Controversial N5.2b Presidential Yacht, A Shameful Misplacement of Priority – Dr Ngozika Johnson-Ogbuneke

The Abia State Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate in the just concluded elections, and also the founder of The SHOGNA Foundations, Chief Dr Ngozika Johnson-Ogbuneke has described the purchase of the Presidential Yatch as a shameful displacement of priority, pjtvnews.

In a release made available to our correspondent through her news and media office, Dr Ngozika Johnson-Ogbuneke said the inclusion of the Yatch in the supplement budget was not need at this point where the economy of the country is not palatable.

One really need to ask if actually the Federal Government of Nigeria FGN, at this point, needs the luxury of a Yacht? Then is it at a cost that is of no benefit to the country nor her citizenry?

Considering the present economy realities that the country is faced with, it has given room for many well meaning Nigerians to air their view and express their displeasure at the purchase of the said Presidential Yacht.

The Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party SDP, in the just concluded gubernatorial election March 2023 and the CEO of the Sanctuary Hand of Grace Ngozi-Abia (SHOGNA) Foundation, Apstl Dr. Ngozika Gladys Johnson- Ogbuneke, is particularly not happy about the development and has condemned it in totality.

But she further reiterated that the UK (United Kingdom) had since 25years ago decommissioned the Royal YATCH which is presently Ducking at Portsmouth.
while Nigeria wants to turn the Presidential office into Royalty and is gifting him (The President) a Yacht in the midst of so much hunger, lack, poverty and hardship amongst the citizen…… Describing the act as selfishness being perpetrated by a set of heartless men in politics.

Apstl.Dr.Ngozika Gladys Johnson Ogbuneke stated clearly, that politics is meant to be the floor to SERVE your local communities and NOT the window/avenue to STEAL from the masses, as she describe it all a shame to the Nigeria president and his team.

Let us hope that President Tinubu and his Team, will show some humanity, humility and care towards the Nigerian citizens. At this point in time, we thus do not need the Yacht. It should be sent back.
