The Abia State Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate in the just concluded elections in Nigeria, and also the founder of The SHOGNA Foundations, Chief Dr Ngozika Johnson-Ogbuneke has spoken the issue of racism, discrimination and Police brutality against Ethiopians and black Israelites in Israel, pjtvnews gathered.

Dr Ngozika Johnson-Ogbuneke posited that, this might be because of political economics and not due to their skin colour.

Read her opinion below;

What is racism one may ask?
This is the discrimination and prejudice against a people group based on their race, ethnicity and beliefs.
The situation of discrimination against Ethiopians and Black Israelites in Israel is not just about racism, discrimination or police brutality. The reasons appear deeper than those vices themselves.

The Israelites and their government know very well that King Solomon had a son by the Queen of Sheba (1Kings10:1-24) when she visited him, to inquire about his wisdom, his fame and his wealth. She got answers.

Where is Sheba located, one may also ask?

Historians, Archaeologists and Bible Scholars put the place of Sheba as being in the Horn of Africa- Ethiopia of today.

The Bible tells us of another history of Sheba- who was one of the grandsons of Abraham by his son Jokshan by Abraham’s 3rd wife- Keturah Genesis25:1-2, 6

Father Abraham whilst he was still alive, sent his sons by Keturah East wards away from Isaac.

So long through the years, out of curiosity Queen of Sheba who was a descendant of Sheba, Queen Makeda traveled to Jerusalem to visit this “distant cousin” of hers.

The Bible said that she went to “ask him questions.”

She brought loads of gifts with her, from the wealth of her Kingdom to King Solomon. She was well honoured too…. She returned to her Kingdom and vowed to teach her son about the God of the Hebrews. We also have the Ethiopian Orthodox Church from amongst them.

Years have gone, the Jews have gone through much persecution and then the Hitler’s holocaust against them but they preserved their legacy- culture, language and nation.

In contrast, ask yourself why is that the BLACK SKINNED MAN is pursued from everywhere??

In the USA we heard of what happened to the late George Floyd with Police knee to his neck.

In Australia, the Black skinned Australian Aborigines are also being persecuted and recent votes still denied them due rights and respects….

Why all these?
I tell you my view-

Everything is not due to the melanin (black pigment) of their skin colour but most probably due to political economics!!

The Black man is lazy, very lazy and only seeks where to consume, consume and consume from the experiences, the works and efforts of other people…. Buying the best cars, jewellery, clothes and so on.
No one wants any parasite over them.

African countries were colonised as much as India and Asian countries were…. But whilst the Asians have worked hard, upheld true justice, meritocracy and government for their people and are today respected globally, our democracy and democratic values in Nigeria and in Africa as a whole is ruled by corruption, rigging and buying of positions!!!

Even in this age, to engage with any form of cerebral audit of governance and any questions on the accountability of government, will attract some very unintelligent persons to pour abuses on one. Why?

If we cannot reason with one another, why then are we in a people group?

If we cannot question what the government is doing why then do we say we belong to any State?

The respects to the Black man globally will only come when the African Nations with their Leaders act right to build up their States with good governance, respecting the rights of the citizens and respecting the rule of law.

Yes, you may say it does not concern you but wait a minute- you may just be leaving the mess to your children and grand children to deal with.

Those other nation states that people rush to get visas to travel to, work on their wealth, constitution, beliefs and culture… they know that when the Black man is admitted into it, they lower the standard and will not work to uphold the standard… so rather than getting upset at such acts of discrimination against fellow Black men and women, we all have the assignment to teach our children, to work on what it means to be human- working hard, in truth and dignity, respecting the law and rejecting all forms of corruption…. Until then, just know that it is not just about racism but rather to prevent economic wastes on Blacks that many of them are denied their rights and opportunities in those places.

Listen to Pastors from African communities, they have turned Christianity to some franchise to create wealth and are worshipped above Jehovah God Himself.

Look at the average Igbo Family- the children cannot speak Igbo language and they do not know their history. We should be proud of who we are, of our culture and food, we should teach these to our children, we should work well, smart and progressively, build up our local communities, hold our government accountable and then over the next 10 years, we should see positive changes around us and respects will surely follow….

Check out even in South Africa who are Blacks- they also chase other Blacks from countries that are sapping up their wealth…

There is thus no point in anyone getting emotional about the ugly treatments meted out to Blacks- spread the message that we all, Black men and women should work better to preserve who we are, to be productive and surely, surely the respects that will follow will be well earned!

It is therefore not merely about racism- it has more to do with political economics.
