Ambassador Desmond Akawor resigns as PDP Chairman, Rivers State, to accept the appointment as Federal Commissioner of Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) representing Rivers State by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Consequently, he has handed over his position to the Deputy Chairman, Hon. Chukwuemeka Aaron.
