High Chief Cyril Ukabi Okemiri, a community leader from Acha in Isuikwuato had extolled his Excellency, the Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti over the Flag-off of 11.5km reconstruction of Nnunya-Eluama road in Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State, pjtvnews reports.
Chief Okemiri noted that, the Nnunya-Eluama-Ogboro road is a major passage linking several communities in Isuikwuato and it’s strategic as it will ease movements from Umuahia and Okigwe respectively.
Chief Okemiri called on the benefiting communities to own the project and protect the working materials and also stressed the need for the youths to cooperate with the contractor to ensure timely completion of the reconstruction of the road.
He further stressed that, the Nnunya-Eluama road has remained un-motorable for years as efforts to fix the road have not yielded any results in the past but, within 10 months of Gov Alex Otti, the reconstruction of the road has now become a reality.
He thanked the Gov for remembering the people of Isuikwuato in this giant infrastructure development.
