Member Representing Isuikwuato/ Umunneochi federal constituency, Hon Amobi Godwin Ogah has expressed his condolences on the passing of elder statesman and former Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, stating that Nigeria has lost an experienced leader.
Onu the first civilian governor of Abia State and a prominent political figure in Nigeria, passed away in the early hours of Thursday in Abuja hospital.
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Elem Chukwuemeka, Hon Amobi Ogah said the death of Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu has created a significant vacuum and will be greatly missed by the South Eastern part of Nigeria.
According to Hon Ogah, “The loss of the former minister is not only felt by his immediate family, but by the entire people of Nigeria.
“On behalf of myself, the good people of Isuikwuato/ Umunneochi federal constituency, we extend our deepest condolences to the immediate family and Nigeria at large.
