Sen Emma Nwaka Condemns Killings of Nigerian Army Personnel in Aba

Senator Emmanuel NwakaThe former Abia State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman and Governorship aspirant in the last general elections, Sen Emma Nwaka has condemned the killings of Nigerian Army officers in Aba, Abia State.

The Nigerian Army personnel were attacked, killed by unknown gunmen suspected to be members of the proscribed IPOB/ESN members at Obikabia junction in Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State on the 30th of May, 2024.

It was believed that, these men of the underworld carried out these attack that killed five (5) army personnel on duty while enforcing a sit-at-home order to celebrate biafra day in the state.

According to an eye witness, the unknown gunmen attacked the military checkpoint code name “Operation Udo Ka” with three tinted prado toyota SUVs and other various weapons.

In his condolence message to the executive Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti and sighted by pjtvnews, Sen Emma Nwaka described the incident as a needless waste of lives of soldiers on official duty on Abia soil.

The condolence reads; “Your Excellency, I share your grief and pain regarding the needless waste of the life of soldiers on official duty on Abia soil. Such heartless and dastardly acts of bloodletting don’t define who we are as Abians. May God grant eternal repose to the souls of those gallant soldiers, and to their families, the fortitude to bear their loss.”

“And may God, in his infinite mercy, grant you the wisdom to handle the fallout from this sad incident. May innocent citizens not suffer on account of whatever reprisal steps the military might decide to embark upon.”
