Hon Olumati Appreciates Gov Fubara For Appointing Him As CTC Member, Port Harcourt LG

The newly appointed member of the Care Taker Committee for Port Harcourt Local Government Area, Hon Olumati Isaiah has penned down an appreciation message to the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Gov Sim Fubara for finding him worthy of his appointment, pjtvnews gathered.

Recall that, Gov Fubara appointed hundreds of persons to man the activities of the 23 Local Government Areas of the state on the expiration of the former elected Chairmen in the state. Fubara appointed Chairmen and other members of the care taker committee (CTC) and were sworn-in, in accordance to the law and have since started work.

Yesterday, Thursday 20th June 2024, I along side five others, were officially sworn in as Members, Care Taker Committee (CTC), Portharcourt Local Government Council.

I sincerely want to express my profound gratitude to the Executive Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Joseph Fubara, GSSRS, for considering me fit and giving me the opportunity to serve as a member of the CTC in Portharcourt Local Government Council under his administration, especially in the consideration of the complexity of the times we find ourselves in. I do not take this call to service for granted.

I want to thank the Governor for going beyond party lines, placing emphasis on competence above bias, picking some of the finest minds for this responsibility. You Sir, are a representation of the quality of leadership we as a people have long prayed for.

I often say, that the true test of wisdom is in complex circumstances just as the true test of light is in darkness. We are plagued by both today. I am aware that this is a litmus test that we must pass, and I understand the burden of this responsibility, not just for what it will mean to the Government, but also what it will mean for everyone covered within the local government.

Though not one without frailty, I am committed to bringing the best of my training and experience to bear in service to my people, my state and by extension, the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

I extend my gratitude to the Amazon, my leader and Chairman of the Labour Party, Hilda Dokubo for her blessings and support.

I also appreciate every member of the Governors team that worked tirelessly and assented to this appointment. Thank you
