As we raise our voices and wave the green and white flag, let us reflect on the essence of our journey so far as a nation—our collective strength, perseverance and the unwavering hope that defines us as Nigerians.

Today, we honour the heroes whose sacrifices lit the path to our freedom. The record of their resilience has been etched into the sands that preserves our story, inspiring generations to rise above challenges and create a future brimming with promise.

Independence Day is more than a date on the calendar; it is a reminder of the power that lies in unity, the beauty of diversity and the enduring spirit that allows us to overcome adversities.

Each one of us plays a role in shaping Nigeria’s destiny, in building a country where dreams are nurtured, where opportunities meet aspirations and where our voices can rise to chart a course toward progress.

Today, October 1st 2024, we commemorate the significance of independence, we must stand tall, embrace our heritage and continue to fight for liberty, equity , equality, justice and fairness.

We must uphold the freedom to live authentically, to be unapologetically African and proudly Nigerian. We must make conscious efforts to choose our leaders carefully, so as to be led well with care for the people, preservation of our rights as proud citizens of this great nation- Nigeria.

At 64, let us stand and raise our caps for 64 happy cheers to Nigeria. Let us Bless and not Curse, for as we speak over our country so shall our nation become.

Happy Independence Day to the heart of Africa—our beloved Nigeria. Liberty and freedom to live, dream and thrive in the beauty of being African and Nigerian! It is time for Nigeria! Cheers to Nigeria at 64! We call on God, Our LORD God Elohim to continue to protect and preserve our beloved country- Nigeria. HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY @64!
