O! Death where is your sting? O! Grave where is your victory? Hosea13 v14
But Our Victory is in the Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ who gives us victory in all things!
Although we have heard, and received the news of your transition into God’s glory as of October 6th 2025, Pa Uma- it seems like ‘yesterday’ that my then political entourage and my humble self, met and were received by you at your Uyo residence.
You ministered to us, we learnt a great deal from you and we were so blessed, delighted and truly encouraged by the wealth of your knowledge and walk, with this Jehovah God Elohim.
Pa Uma Ukpai, we shall all miss you, especially your precious life Partner and Friend, your lovely wife, Pastor Philomena Uma Ukpai. She with you, gave us much teaching and insight in your Ministry; your great works for the Kingdom of God in Jesus Christ.
No matter how much we all- your Family, Friends, spiritual children, and others may miss you, indeed Pa Uma Ukpai I know that you have signed off very well, for to YOU – “to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” Philippians1:21
When I lost my son, many in seeking to encourage me, reminded me of you, losing two of your children on the same day! Sir, no one understands fully, the working of the LORD Our God Jehovah, but we appreciate and honour Him to the extent that He reveals of Himself to us.
I heard them. I heard their words of condolences but I ask of God for one thing, to grant me the grace to continue to run this race and to finish well even above as you have done, forbearing the pain of your losses at that time and staying on course. That is our victory in Christ.
Adieu Sir! Great Soldier of the Cross. Adieu. Aaah! May you continue to rest well in the peaceful bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen 🙏🏽
