A faceless group loyal to the recently defeated and retired Member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi federal constituency, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, have once again exhibited their fooly and pain by casting aspersions and venting their frustrations on the duly elected Member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi federal constituency, Hon Amobi Godwin Ogah. We understand Nkiru’s plight; it is not easy to face political retirement and be mummified in the anals of history.
With the defeat of Nkeiruka Onyejeocha by Hon Amobi Ogah in 2023; after 16 years of sit-tightism, Nkeiruka’s political relevance has dwindled significantly as she continues to remain insignificant in the scheme of things. Worst still for her, the people of Isuikwuato/Umunneochi have moved on with solid representation by their duly elected Rep.
It is surprising that, since Nkeiruka lost election , she lost sleep as she continues to drag Hon Amobi Ogah from one court to another with the hope of distracting him. Unfortunately, Hon Ogah has refused to be distracted .
Nobody misses a character who held unto power for 16 years and converted our collective constituency to her personal property. Better still, the level of development recorded by the energetic and youthful Hon Amobi Ogah, from physical innovations such as the construction of modern markets, roads, hospitals across communities, numerous Bills, scholarships and study grants, and several others in less than 2 years in office have continued to re-echo the fact that Isuikwuato/Umunneochi made the right choice in 2023, a choice that will be repeated by 2027.
While we sympathise with the defeated Nkeiruka Onyejeocha who’s political fortunes currently suffers rigor-mortis, we urge her to squarely face her case of alleged forgery ongoing in a court of law, forgery is a very serious crime in Nigeria, and there is no place for forgers in the new Isuikwuato/Umunneochi.
As a refresher, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha is currently facing a case of alleged forgery, wherein, she was clearly alleged to have tendered fake election results at the Election Tribunal, such desperation shows the level of pathetic character who once held our constituency on the jugular for 16 years !
Section 467 of the Criminal Code Act in Nigeria is very clear on forgery, it stipulates that: any person who forges any document, writing, or seal, is guilty of an offence which, unless otherwise stated, is a felony, and he is liable, if no other punishment is provided, to imprisonment for three years.
At this point, crying by proxy through her faceless groups will not save her, she has a date in court and she must face the criminal justice system. As a group, we can only and simply advise Nkeiruka Onyejeocha to cry less, she will definitely need those tears in prison when the law takes its full course.
